Our Strategic Plan

The Northeast Indiana Local Food Network recently developed a strategic plan to ensure we effectively serve our community and make the greatest possible impact. This plan was shaped by the Northeast Indiana Local Food System Needs Assessment that helped us understand regional needs and opportunities, allowing us to define clear priorities and goals. The strategic plan will serve as our road map for the coming years, guiding our work.

This strategic plan, along with the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network’s updated Vision and Mission, is built directly from the insights of over 500 local food stakeholders, community leaders, and consumers throughout the region. We gathered this vital input through the Northeast Indiana Local Food System Needs Assessment, which we conducted during 2024 - 2025 with Sturtz Public Management Group.

We extend our sincere gratitude to St. Joseph Community Health Foundation for their incredibly generous grant award to the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network in 2024. This funding has been instrumental in supporting our three-year Capacity-Building Initiative, which included the local food system needs assessment, the development of this strategic plan to address those needs, and essential operational support for its implementation.
