About this Event
This is a kid friendly hike for people of all ages. People can expect to see some of what Indiana’s landscape may have looked like prior to European settlement. They will see herds of bison and elk, which are both historically native to northeast Indiana.

Our hike will take us on a 1.4 mile loop from our Education Center out around our forested sand dune. We recommend that everyone wear clothing they are comfortable hiking in. Dress for the weather conditions, wear close-toed shoes, sun screen, and bug repellent. This event will take place in rain or shine. However, if there is thunder/lightning in the area the hike will be canceled.

For more information email info@lcnaturepark.org or call (260) 999-3153.

Travel Tip: LC Nature Park is on the west side of Aboite (not to be confused with Aboite Center) Road, approximately 1 mile south of Redding Rd off of US 24. About halfway between the I-69 interchange and Roanoke. If you have passed County Line Road heading west on US 24, you have gone too far.
