Participants will gain an understanding of what it means to keep honeybees, learn about the importance of honey bees to our food, and become versed in how the honey produced at the hive is donated to support The Pantry at Purdue Fort Wayne.
Travel Tip: The beehive is located on the property of the Allen County Purdue Extension Office.
About Glenn’s Natural Honey
Glenn's Natural Honey provides locally produced raw honey from the northern half of Fort Wayne. Bees are raised naturally in small apiaries in a wide variety of environments from downtown Fort Wayne to suburbs to the rural countryside.
The FRIENDS of the University Pantry at Purdue Fort Wayne is stocked with a variety of packaged and canned foods and helps food-insecure members of both the university – including students, staff, and faculty – and the community.
