About this Event
A pizza night on the farm is a dining experience for the whole family, featuring artisan pizzas made with ingredients from the farm and baked in an outdoor, wood-fired brick oven. Pizza nights on the farm are very popular and were even featured in the New York Times. Pizzas may be taken home as carryout or enjoyed picnic-style or tailgate-style on the farm. Samantha Yim, founder of True Kimchi, will be making kimchi pizza featuring local kimchi made with ingredients from Hawkins Family Farm. Come meet Samantha, taste authentic kimchi, and tour the fields where the kimchi ingredients are grown.

About Hawkins Family Farm
We at Hawkins Family Farm are a fourth-generation family farm outside of North Manchester, Indiana. We rotate cattle, hogs, poultry, field crops, and produce around our 99-acres using a whole-systems approach, and market our products through Community Supported Agriculture, an online store, and to restaurants. The farm also hosts weekly pizza nights during the summer. We use the health and wholeness of soils, waters, plants, animals, and people as the standard by which we farm. One of the reasons we love CSA is that it gives us the opportunity to see members face-to-face, during which we’re more than happy to talk your ear off about soil health, cover cropping, minimum tillage techniques, crop rotations, raising animals on pasture, and other practices we use.
