About this Event
A pizza night on the farm is a dining experience for the whole family featuring artisan pizzas made with ingredients from the farm and baked in an outdoor, wood-fired brick oven. Pizza Nights on the farm are very popular and were even featured in the New York Times. Sean Richardson of Rune will be the guest chef for Pizza Night.

Pre-order required for pizzas (see above). Once you’ve placed your pre-order, arrive at Hawkins Family Farm on August 4 and park along the farm lane in one of the numbered tailgating spots. Then walk to the Pizza Pavilion in the barn lot at your designated time to pick up your pizzas. Then, take your pizzas to your individual tailgate spot or common picnic area and enjoy your evening on the farm, or take them home! Please take all your trash with you when you leave. No pets, please.

About Hawkins Family Farm
Hawkins Family Farm is a fourth-generation family farm outside of North Manchester, Indiana. They rotate cattle, hogs, poultry, field crops, and produce around their 99-acres using a whole-systems approach, and market products through Community Supported Agriculture, an online store, and to restaurants. The farm also hosts weekly pizza nights during the summer.

The farm uses the health and wholeness of soils, waters, plants, animals, and people as the standard by which they farm. One of the reasons they love CSA is that it gives them the opportunity to see members face-to-face, during which they’re more than happy to talk your ear off about soil health, cover cropping, minimum tillage techniques, crop rotations, raising animals on pasture, and other practices they use.
