2022 Local Food Forum Postponed
To our Northeast Indiana Local Food Community:
The Local Food Forum & Expo was designed to promote and connect local farmers, food producers, chefs, educators, community leaders, advocates for community health, and consumers by providing a robust opportunity to network, learn and share ideas to grow, and connect our local food community.
The Northeast Indiana Local Food Network desires to be respectful of the time commitments, efforts, and resources of all involved with this event including our attendees, presenters, exhibitors and sponsors.
Unfortunately, our registration numbers for the 2022 Local Food Forum & Expo do not support or justify holding this event at this time. For many members of our local food community, September is just too busy with the demands of their harvest and food production for them to participate in this full-day event. We have been encouraged to again schedule the Local Food Forum & Expo during the winter months when our local food producers are able to fully participate in this valuable event.
Therefore, we are postponing the 2022 Local Food Forum & Expo scheduled to be held on Monday, September 12, 2022. Our goal is to reschedule the event during the first quarter of 2023. We hope to share the new date soon, so you can mark your calendar to attend.
We will be reaching out this week to all those who already registered for the event about options to receive a full refund or a credit for registration for the postponed event in early 2023.
The Northeast Indiana Local Food Network looks forward to exploring and evaluating additional avenues to mutually collaborate to promote a resilient local food economy in both urban and rural communities across Northeast Indiana.
We are grateful for your understanding and your commitment to local foods and their beneficial impacts for our farms, our families and our region.
Sincerely,
Janet Katz, Founding Director & Jim Huffman, Board Chair
