Abut this Event
Meet the staff and farmers of Rose Avenue Education Farm for a small group guided tour of the farm. Learn about the farm’s business incubator program, and how traditional farming methods merge with vegetable production techniques learned from many regional instructors and coaches. Taste some traditional Burmese dishes prepared by the farmers and their families using Asian specialty crops.

The event will go on if there is light rain, however if the forecast is severe weather it will be canceled. For more information, email Heartland.community@yahoo.com or call (425) 213-7516

Travel Tip: The GPS might tell you to turn down West Street, but don't do it! The farm is immediately East of there and the driveway is on the other side of the field. Look for the rust color farm stand shed. Park all the way down the driveway in the parking lot.

About Rose Avenue Education Farm
Heartland Communities, a nonprofit economic development organization, hosts a business incubator at Rose Avenue Education Farm for emerging farmers.

Primarily Burmese refugees are starting their new vegetable production farms on half-acre plots at this 10-acre farm managed by Plowshares Food Hub Co.

The vegetables are sold at a Burmese Specialty Market on weekends, HEAL Farm Markets during the week, and at Plowshares Mobile Markets and the new Plowshares at the Market stall in Union Street Market at Electric Works.
