Event details:
A Pizza Night on the farm is a dining experience for the whole family featuring artisan pizzas made with ingredients from the farm and baked in an outdoor, wood-fired brick oven. Pizza Nights on the farm are very popular and were even featured in the New York Times. Pizzas may be taken home as carryout or enjoyed picnic-style or tailgate-style on the farm.

A special Local Food Week Walking Farm Tour will begin around 6:30pm. We’ll talk about soil health, cover cropping, minimum tillage techniques, crop rotations, raising animals on pasture, and other practices we use.

Pizza Pre-Ordering Details:
You can pre-order and reserve your pizza for August 2, starting at 7:15pm on Friday, July 26, until they are sold out.

How it works:

  • Pre-order your pizzas. Reserve your pizzas and pay online and choose a pick-up time at Pizza Nights — Hawkins Family Farm

  • We make the pizza and you bring the rest! So, if you’d like picnic blankets, camp chairs, utensils, napkins, side dishes, dessert, or beverages, don’t forget to bring them along. Alcoholic beverages are permitted.

  • Come to the farm. Arrive at Hawkins Family Farm and park along the farm lane in one of the numbered tailgating spots. Then walk to the Pizza Pavilion in the barn lot at your designated time to pick up your pizzas.

  • Enjoy. Take your pizzas to your individual tailgate spot or common picnic area and enjoy your evening on the farm! Please take all your trash with you when you leave. No pets, please.

Hawkins Family Farm
We are a fourth-generation family farm outside of North Manchester, Indiana. We rotate cattle, hogs, poultry, field crops, and produce around our 99-acres using a whole-systems approach, and market our products through customizable farm shares delivered to your door, and to restaurants. The farm also hosts weekly pizza nights during the summer.

We use the health and wholeness of soils, waters, plants, animals, and people as the standard by which we farm. Our fully customizable farm shares allow you to enjoy top quality groceries while supporting a growing number of local farmers and food artisans. Learn how it works on our website.

E Brewing Company at Esterline Farms
An independent Craft Brewery created by two dudes, Justin and Jason, that loved brewing beer in a barn. They took their passion from small batch home brewing to the overnight sensation of innovative “why not” beers that so many people have come to love. In fact, they’ve become the first beer farm in Indiana since the prohibition.

After attending numerous local brew festivals over the last few years they quickly started to realize the positive feedback they were receiving. People loved their personalities, their stories, and most importantly…their beer! Jason had always had a dream of running his own brewery someday. So, with the help from his wife, Jennifer, and the encouragement of his close friends, they made it happen! Turning their barn into a brewery has been a whirlwind of emotions, lots of hard work, and the most rewarding project ever! We hope you’ll join us to experience our Beer Farm and the entire farm experience!
