Celebrate the joy of the summer harvest, when the bounty is at its most abundant. Plowshares at the Market presents this Local Food Week cooking class in the Teaching Kitchen on the mezzanine of Union Street Market - West Hall.
Join Holly Sutter for a class highlighting a simple Buddha Bowl preparation. Buddha Bowls are a great way to customize various eating styles, and are comprised of a base of grain or noodles, fresh veggies, and protein of choice. The class emphasis will be on fresh produce from the garden, and a base recipe to get you thinking about all the variations available. Come hungry; class includes a meal! Class size limited to 12. The Teaching Kitchen is on the second-floor mezzanine of the Union Street Market-- West Hall 1622 Broadway (Building 22). Park in the Union Garage at the south end of Van Buren Street Extended. Parking may cost $3.00. Trouble finding the Teaching Kitchen? Go to Plowshares at the Market stall in the East Hall (Building 20) and ask for help!
